About this place
Diners have praised CHIBO’s okonomiyaki for its fluffy batter and sweetish sauce, and some have enjoyed it alongside yakisoba. Options range from the classic pork okonomiyaki to a mixed version with pork, squid and prawns, and the fluffy mixed yaki, topped with pork, small prawns, squid, cheese, shiso leaves and spicy cod roe mayonnaise. The mixed negiyaki combines pork, squid, beef tendon and konjac, small prawns and more; a light soy-sauce flavour is recommended.
For yakisoba, there is a mixed version with pork, small prawns and squid, as well as seafood yakisoba with a choice of squid, octopus and small prawns. To add another dish to your okonomiyaki, consider tonpeiyaki, crisp teppan gyoza or stir-fried pork with kimchi. The drinks list includes Sapporo draft beer, Sapporo Akaboshi in a medium bottle and several Dewar’s highballs—a fitting selection with food cooked on the teppan.
Some diners say their okonomiyaki arrived at the table after it had finished cooking, while others enjoyed watching the cooking from the counter. For a fuller meal, the menu also lists set courses that include dishes such as a special salad, tonpeiyaki, teppan gyoza, a selection of okonomiyaki and yakisoba, and dessert.
